"For" School Uniforms

Some people wear really expensive clothes, and others wear rags. It is human nature to judge people by how they look, and uniforms would help the students look more similar. Maybe we would start judging each other for inner beauty instead of just for looks.
-- Laura H.

Wearing uniforms will cut down on gang violence. Some students wear shirts with gang colors accidentally because they are looking for something to wear to school. When they get out of school, they can get hurt when another student sees the colors of the shirt. When you have a uniform on, you can't get hurt, because you'll only be wearing black and white uniforms.
-- Manuel G.

If we wear uniforms, people won't pick on other people or make fun of what they are wearing, because we are all wearing the same thing. You won't have to come home with a piece of clothing missing just because someone took it. There will be less fights among kids and teenagers over clothing or shoes like Nike, K-Swiss, etc.
-- Jessica R.

If we do wear uniforms, would it be a problem? I don't know; did the students at Mark Twain Middle School have any problems with wearing the uniforms this year? I doubt the students at Tafolla Middle School would have a problem with the uniforms. I wouldn't because I think it can help others focus on school, rather than what to wear the next morning.
-- Adrienne M.

I would already know what to wear in the morning. That would save a tremendous amount of time. I could just get up in the morning, take a shower, and put on my uniform.
-- Andrew L.

A benefit of wearing uniforms is that it might bring up school grades. Students will pay more attention to the teacher or class, rather than their clothes. If that happens, then students will know what to do with their work. If they know what to do, then they will finish like rockets and have extra time to finish any other homework they have. There would be less talking and more studying.
